Day 21 – Germ – Granges d'Astau

12km (7.9 miles) to climb over a col (d'Esquierry -2131m or 6991 ft) and back down to the Granges d'Astau.
Beautiful day again while on the hot side in the afternoon.
Today marks 3 WEEKS that I have been hiking the trail. I can honestly say that it is one of the hardest thing I have ever done. And this is roughly 1/3 of the way if I exclude the rest days included in the itinerary, starting with one this Monday ! Hiking to go places is an experience that is hard to explain in terms of personal rewards and feeling of accomplishment.

Encore une belle journée même si il fait chaud dans l'après-midi.
Aujourd'hui marque 3 SEMAINES sur le GR10. Je peux honnêtement dire que c'est l'une des choses les plus difficiles que j'ai jamais faites. Et c'est à peu près 1/3 du chemin si j'exclus les jours de repos inclus dans l'itinéraire ! Cette traversée est une expérience difficile à expliquer en termes de récompenses personnelles et de sentiment d'accomplissement.
