Day 15 – Gite étape de Sigue – Luz Saint Sauveur

Surprise of the day ! My brother Jean-Louis his wife Meroline were meeting us today but they surprised us with 2 additional visits : my cousin Herve and his wife Agnes. What a treat we were now a group of 5 for the longest hike of my journey so far 23km (13.4 miles).
In addition we have fellow hiker Emma that tags along. We met her back in the Refuge du Clot a few days ago. 26 year old on a solo adventure for 5 days following the GR10.
The 1st portion of the hike is very nice, good weather and nice scenery, the second part is more of a transition to the valley following roads (not so much interesting). But the real highlight is the fact that we are all together and get to catch up.
We finish the hike in the town of Luz Saint Sauveur (more in that below) where we all continue our get together with a nice dinner. To add even more to the party 🥳 Vincent’s brother also join us for dinner with this family !!!

Surprise du jour ! Mon frère Jean-Louis et sa femme Meroline devaient nous rejoindre aujourd'hui mais ils nous font la surprise d’être accompagnés de mon cousin Hervé et sa femme Agnès. Quel régal, nous étions maintenant un groupe de 5 pour la plus longue randonnée de mon aventure jusqu'à présent, 23 km (13,4 miles).
De plus, nous avons une autre randonneuse Emma qui nous accompagne. Nous l'avons rencontrée au Refuge du Clot il y a quelques jours : 26 ans à l'aventure en solo pendant 5 jours sur le GR10.
La 1ère partie de la randonnée est très agréable, beau temps et beaux paysages, la deuxième partie est plus une transition vers la vallée en suivant des routes (pas tellement intéressantes). Mais le vrai plaisir c’est le fait que nous sommes tous ensemble.
Nous terminons la randonnée dans la ville de Luz Saint Sauveur (plus de détails ci-dessous) où nous continuons tous notre rencontre avec un bon dîner. Pour rajouter une ambiance encore plus fête, le frère de Vincent nous rejoint avec sa famille !
